Missing Person Trace Terms and Conditions.
A successful trace is reported if any one of the following is attained:
- Locating the subject's current private address.
- Locating the subject's current employment address.
- Locating the subject's current business address.
If the subject is residing outside the UK and an overseas address is obtained, a surcharge of £100.00 plus vat will be payable.
Establishing the subject is deceased and providing a copy of the death certificate as verification.
It is agreed that all information is furnished for your private use only and is supplied in confidence. The client agrees with TracingDirect Limited that all such information is supplied on the express understanding that the agency is not to be held responsible for damage or loss arising from insufficient or inaccurate information furnished to the client whether by reason of mistake or negligence of the agency or its servants.
If an enquiry is cancelled whilst research is ongoing, a cancellation fee will apply. This equates to 50% of the successful fee schedule on no success, no fee cases. Any initial payment made on split fee cases will be retained and is non-refundable.
If a case has been completed at the time of cancellation and awaiting dispatch, the full trace fee will be due. It is incumbent on the client, to reveal to TracingDirect before a trace is carried out, any reasons why the subject of the trace may not wish to be found. Where legal proceedings/injunctions have been taken against the client, that affected the subject or other members of the family, or where there has been domestic, sexual or other violence against the subject and/or a third party that again, directly affected the subject.
If such matters are not revealed to TracingDirect, and the subject, once found, refuses contact with the client, TracingDirect reserves the right to regard the trace as successful and charge the client accordingly.
If, in such cases, the subject is nevertheless prepared to make contact with the client, TracingDirect Limited will pass the client’s details to the subject or offer ‘letterbox’ contact.
International Trace Terms and Conditions
A successful trace is reported if any one of the following is attained:
- Locating the subject's current private address.
- Locating the subject's current employment address.
- Locating the subject's current business address.
- Establishing the subject is deceased.

Sole Trader Terms and Conditions
A successful trace is reported if any one of the following is attained:
- Locating a current trading address for the business.
- Establishing the business has ceased trading and locating a current private address for the sole trader.
- Establishing the business has ceased trading and locating a current business address for the sole trader.
- Establishing the business has ceased trading and the sole trader has vacated the UK and detailing the country of residence. If a precise address is required, International tracing rates will apply.
- Establishing by a reliable source that the subject has vacated the UK and detailing the country of current residence. If a precise address is required, International tracing rates will apply.
- Establishing the business has ceased trading and the sole trader is deceased and providing a copy of the death certificate as verification.
- Establishing the business has ceased trading and the sole trader is bankrupt and providing details of the insolvency practitioner dealing with their affairs. However, in the event your indebtedness in part or whole was incurred post bankruptcy, tracing enquires will continue.
- Establishing the business has ceased trading and the sole trader has made a voluntary arrangement and providing details of the insolvency practitioner dealing with their affairs. - Establishing the company has ceased trading and locating a current business address for one of the directors.
- Establishing the company has ceased trading and one of the directors has vacated the UK and detailing the country of residence. If a precise address is required, International tracing rates will apply.
- Establishing the company has ceased trading and one of the directors is deceased and providing a copy of the death certificate as verification.
